Beginner & Intermediate Wrestling Camps
We are excited to offer wrestling training camps for beginner level through advanced. Our beginner group (2nd-5th grade) meets 1 day a week for one hour. Our intermediate group (5th-8th grade) meets 1-2 times a week for 1.25-2 hours, depending on the session. Beginners will learn the fundamental skills of wrestling including stance and motion, shot/shot defense, and mat wrestling.
advanced Wrestling Camps
Our advanced wrestlers (high school, 9th-12th grade) train 2 times per week, for 2 hours each. These wrestlers will continue to fine tune fundamental skills and incorporate higher level techniques and mat strategies.

Our Other Wrestling Coaches
GABE REED
Coach Gabe Reed is a Saint Thomas More class of 20’ alumni. He is a former honors student, who played soccer, lacrosse, and wrestled at STM. While attending school his sophomore year he started Mixed Martial Arts and began teaching youth classes shortly after. After his first amateur MMA win in October 2021 he returned to STM to help coach the wrestling team alongside Coach Cannon. Coach Gabe is attending UL Lafayette to get his bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
JACOB BOUMANS
Coach Jacob has over 15 years of wrestling experience. He participated on the Illinois national wrestling team 4 years and graduated from Neuqua Valley High School. In high school, he placed at the state tournament multiple times, taking 2nd his senior year. After high school coach Jacob wrestled at North Central College for one year. In 2020, he joined the Marine Corps. During his time in the in the Marines, he became a team leader for a machine gunner squad. He also competed in Jiu Jitsu, boasting an undefeated record of 76-0. Coach Jacob is now married to his wife Lexi, and is working for the Broussard Police Department.
BRYCE BOUMANS
Coach Bryce is an Illinois High School Wrestling 3rd place finisher. He attended Northwest Kansas Tech and was a 2x Junior College National Qualifier, Conference champion, first team Jayhawk All-Conference, and finished 4th in the National Tournament earning him Junior College All-American award. Bryce has an Associate of Applied Science degree in carpentry. He is an assistant coach at Northwest Kansas Technical College.
